Understanding Burnout

AM I BURNT OUT? TAKE THE 5-MINUTE QUIZ!

Burnout is defined by the World Health Organization as an occupational phenomenon conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.

Burnout is typically characterized by three dimensions. It is categorized by 3 distinct symptoms: Cynicism, Exhaustion, and Ineffectiveness.

However, its symptoms manifest in various emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral forms.

40% of remote workers say being unable to unplug from work is the biggest challenge they face.

Stages of Burnout

Burnout starts out innocent enough, as a need to prove one.

For high achievers who are used to being constantly busy, or maybe even “thrive on chaos”, it may be difficult to detect burnout until it’s too late.

And because burnout comes on slowly, it can be especially difficult to recognize. There are 12 documented stages of burnout, with the final stage being mental and physical collapse.

Why is it the answer to ALL your problems?

Burnout Coaching is a psychology-based, systematic approach to changing your

relationship to work and stress so you can have energy in your life for the things

that matter most.

Weekly or Biweekly, you will complete transformational exercises that reduce your workload, fortify your boundaries, heal your hurt, and help you build systems that will skyrocket your success without wearing you out.

These exercises are founded in neuroscience and pulled from the fields of psychology, executive coaching, and organizational strategy. With a background in psychology and psychotherapy, Natalia is an expert in the art and science of behavior change, personality shifting, and system-based approaches to creating the life of your dreams.

Sessions are one hour long, weekly or biweekly, and may be completed 1:1 or as a group. Between sessions, there will be exercises to implement strategies and customize tools to your unique needs.

Professional: Are you working at a breakneck pace and you know it’s unsustainable? Have you started to lose motivation and interest for your job? Perhaps work performance is starting to slip?

Health: Is the doctor worried about your blood pressure? Can you not remember the last time you were getting to the gym consistently or getting a full 8 hours of sleep? Do you still have that headcold that you just can’t seem to shake?

Family: Do you have no time for date nights and your partner is tired of hearing you complain about work? Maybe you’re starting to worry that your marriage is on the rocks. Are you missing out on your kid’s soccer games and filled with guilt at missing out on their childhood?

Friends: Do you “feel like a bad friend” because you are too busy to be around for your peope the way you wish you could be?

Mood: Does anxiety follow you around like your shadow? Do you dread Monday mornings? Are you a walking zombie by the end of your day?

You need a burnout coach because your job has too many perks to walk away, but you also aren’t sure how much longer you can live this way. SO STOP LIVING THIS WAY. Get your work and your stress under control and take your life back.

GOT QUESTIONS?

What is burnout coaching?

Burnout coaching is a personalized program designed to help individuals experiencing burnout regain balance and well-being in their professional and personal lives. It involves targeted strategies, support, and guidance to manage stress, enhance resilience, and prevent burnout recurrence.

How is burnout coaching different from therapy or counseling?

Burnout coaching focuses on practical strategies, skill-building, and goal-setting to address burnout and enhance well-being. It's forward-looking and action-oriented, whereas therapy or counseling may delve deeper into past experiences and emotions.

How do I know if burnout coaching is right for me?

Burnout coaching may be right for you if you're experiencing symptoms of burnout, feeling overwhelmed by work or personal responsibilities, or seeking strategies to improve your well-being and resilience.

What can I expect from a burnout coaching program?

In a burnout coaching program, you can expect personalized support tailored to your specific challenges and goals. This includes identifying burnout triggers, learning stress management techniques, setting realistic goals, and developing strategies to enhance well-being and resilience.

What if I’m too busy for burnout coaching? What’s the time commitment?

You will need one hour weekly for your coaching session. The intersession exercises may take from 0-30 minutes a day. Being busy AF is actually a perfect time to complete your coaching because of the focus on workload reduction and self-care planning. However, during a “lull” in your work schedule may be better. if you are unable to squeeze in an hour a week, plus 0-30 minutes a day.

What if I’m experiencing clinical symptoms, like intense depression, anxiety, panic attacks, or thoughts of suicide/homicide?

Burnout coaching may be a supplement to therapy but is NOT a replacement for psychotherapy from a licensed professional. Your initial screening will help determine if burnout coaching is appropriate, or if more intensive psychological support is needed. You may be referred to a psychotherapist at anytime through the program as the need arises. Remember that unlike most burnout coaches, Natalia is also a Licenced Socail Worker ( a therapist) and is trained to screen for clinical diagnoses.

What are the benefits of burnout coaching?

Benefits of burnout coaching include reduced stress levels, improved work-life balance, enhanced productivity, increased self-awareness, better emotional regulation, and a renewed sense of purpose and satisfaction in both professional and personal life.

How can I get started with burnout coaching?

To get started with burnout coaching, you can reach out to Natalia by sending an email or booking a quick call. This initial contact will allow you to discuss your specific needs, goals, and how burnout coaching can support you in overcoming challenges and achieving greater well-being. Natalia is ready to provide personalized guidance and strategies tailored to your unique situation.
